The Mud therapy (or Lutotherapy) is particularly suitable and that is the use of thermal mud in therapy. This term refers to a naturally hot or heated slime resulting from the mixture of an inorganic and/or organic solid component (the so-called virgin mud) with thermal mineral water. After an appropriate “maturation” of over six months in the large tanks of our establishment, this mud is used according to the medical prescription.
Mud temperature: 38° – 40° C.
Duration: 10′ – 15′.
Rhythm: 1 per day
Application: based on medical prescription on one or more joint areas
Thickness: 3 – 6 cm
Recommended number of applications: from 5 to 12.

Balneotherapy will follow, again if prescribed by the health department, which consists of the complete or partial immersion of the body in an individual pool or in a “collective” pool containing mineral water at an average temperature of about 36°.
The general principles for the practice of Balneotherapy are: water temperature 34° -38° C; the duration of the bath 10′-15′; the treatment cycle 5-12 baths at an average rate of 1 per day.
More than one treatment cycle per year can be carried out, according to the indications of the Health Department. At the end of the bath, the so-called “reaction” will follow, in special rooms, for about 10′-20′.
The therapeutic methods are:
– individual baths in a simple tub with total or partial immersion possibly with the introduction of ozone (active oxygen indicated to stimulate blood circulation);
– baths in the indoor thermal pool also for physiokinesitherapy (hydro-kinesitherapy).
